NMRRC Youth Contest

Get your camera, crayons and markers out this summer and create your best Mini Rex rabbit picture.

About the Contest  

The NMRRC is calling all young photographers and budding artists to share their best Mini Rex Rabbit picture with the world!  We are searching for 12 pictures of Mini Rex Rabbits to place in our upcoming 2009 NMRRC Calendar.  This is your project, so be creative!  All proceeds from calendar sales will go to the NMRRC Youth Scholarship fund.  

General Rules    

*Contest is open to all NMRRC youth and their family members ages 2 - 18.  There are no "age groups" in this contest.  We are however, searching for a variety of styles in artistry from very young children to teenagers.

*Contest will run from now  until the entry deadline of August 1, 2008.  The NMRRC will select 12 winning photos and/or drawings as winners to be placed in the 2009 NMRRC calendar. 

*Winners  will be announced at the ARBA Convention in Louisville Kentucky.  Do not need to be present to win!

*Awards (TBA)  will be given at the ARBA Convention or mailed to winners.

*Each entrant may submit up to 5 drawings or photos and may be eligible to win more than once.

*Use any of the following varieties... Black, Blue, Broken, Tri-colored, Castor, Chinchilla, Chocolate,  Himalayan, Lilac, Lynx, Opal, Otter, Red, Sable Point, Seal, Tortoise, Ruby-eyed White, Blue-eyed White.  Please, no unapproved varieties.

*Extra credit may be given for pictures with a specific background corresponding to a particular month. (example) July - American flag, December - Christmas scene,  October - pumpkin scene, etc... Be creative!

*Rabbit can be posed in any way and even dressed up if you'd like!  Just be sure the rabbit's variety is clearly represented in the picture.

*Humans may be in the photo or drawing, but be sure to make the rabbit the "subject matter".    

Drawings        

Should be done on 8.5 X 11  piece of paper.

Any drawing material may be used, (crayons, chalk, markers, etc..).  Be sure the material won't smear, affecting the integrity of the picture.

Drawings can be returned to you if you send a self address,. stamped envelope.  Won't be returned until October 2008 at the earliest.  

Photography   

All photos must be digital
